According to WXCharts weather maps, which use MetDesk data, the warmer conditions are expected to arrive on Tuesday, April 21.

The south of England is forecast to see the highest temperatures, with London expected to reach a high of 21°C at around 6pm.

In the north, temperatures will also remain pleasant, with places such as Manchester and Cheshire predicted to see highs of around 19°C.

In the Midlands, temperatures are expected to reach 18°C by midday and rise slightly into the evening. Eastern parts of the country are also likely to enjoy warm and bright weather.

Even in Scotland, temperatures could climb to 17°C, with sunny spells forecast throughout the day.

Earlier this month, on April 18, the UK recorded its highest temperature of 2026 so far, reaching 26.5°C. After this brief “mini heatwave,” conditions turned cooler, with some parts of the country seeing rain and even snow.

Forecasters say warmer weather may return again soon. Jim Dale of British Weather Services said that as late spring approaches, temperatures could rise even further, possibly reaching into the 30s.

A Met Office spokesperson said the southeast is likely to remain the driest and brightest part of the country. However, other regions may see showers or longer spells of rain. Overall, temperatures are expected to stay near or slightly above average.
