Recent weather maps show that a snow blizzard might hit parts of the UK later this month. Data from WXCharts.com suggests a strong cold wave will reach northern regions on Sunday April 26.

Scotland will likely see the heaviest snowfall with predictions showing up to 10cm of snow in some locations. Other areas may also be affected including parts of northeast England where snowfall could reach around 2cm.
Maps show a major temperature drop across northern parts of the UK between April 25 and 26 with temperatures possibly falling below 0°C.

The cold weather is expected to mainly affect Scotland and northwest England. In Scotland cities like Aberdeen, Glasgow and Dundee could see temperatures drop as low as -4°C. Locations further south including Newcastle Blackpool and Manchester may see temperatures around -3°C.
While northern regions prepare for colder weather other parts of England should see more mixed conditions. Areas like the Midlands & northeast England could see temperatures slightly below freezing but without heavy snowfall.
The Met Office forecast for April 18 to April 27 shows the UK will initially see some showers mainly in the northwest along with windy conditions. However many regions should enjoy dry weather and sunshine over the weekend though nights will stay chilly. During the following week weather systems linked to an Atlantic low-pressure system may try to move into the UK.
However their progress could be blocked by high pressure sitting to the northeast. Western regions are more likely to see rainfall while northern and eastern areas could stay mostly dry. Overall temperatures should remain above average despite the brief cold snap. Areas That May See Snow
