Project Overview:

We've worked all around Molineux Stadium on facilities ranging from hospitality suites to drinks bars and kiosks in the concourse. Our work on this project in particular, however, was what earned the Construction News Specialist Award (2013) and went on to solidify us as a leader in stadium catering design, specification and installation.

We designed, specified and installed the equipment, fixtures and fittings in the new stand's catering and hospitality areas. Having been directly appointed by the client 18 months prior to the main contractor being assigned, we worked closely with the club's own design team to create a specification that would fit perfectly with their expectations.

The core challenge associated with designing the main production kitchen was accommodating the huge range of equipment required, as the client was looking to provide a variety of menus from the same kitchen (from high-end hospitality dinners to casual bistro-style meals). We made sure to incorporate a functional design and a selection of efficient cooking equipment to combat this challenge. On top of this, our project management team provided working drawings and technical support during the fit-out phases of the wider build, ensuring smooth integration of catering features within the work of all other trades on site.

This massive project was a success thanks to our experience in stadium catering design, a well-established supply chain and the keen communication between our team and the client - all of which were listed by the Construction News judges as reasons for winning the prestigious award.

Testimonial:

"Although Garners were also competitive on their pricing, ultimately it was their experience in stadium catering design that was the decisive factor in the club favouring them. In the 12-man team of core contractors, there was over 200 years of combined experience sat around the table. I wouldn't go anywhere else because of the service I received and the end result; it's exactly as we envisaged."
